Valencia CF Women’s first team and Academy enjoy a family celebration of the 4 promotions
Historic milestone at the Club, with the A team to Liga F; the B team to 2ª RFEF; the C team to 3ª RFEF; and the D team to Autonòmica Valenta
The game started at a high tempo with a couple of RCD Español forays into the box inside the opening 10 minutes of the match as the home side were dominating while Valencia CF were waiting for their chance to come and on 28 minutes, Marta Carro rose up to meet Esther’s cross but M. Quesada snuffed out the danger for the home side.
Five minutes later, Candela saw her effort cleared off the line while Enith kept coming up on top between the posts to thwart the home side’s attempts resolutely. The first half finished goalless at the Intermission at the Dani Jarque training ground.
Valencia CF Femenino were off to a strong start in the second half through quickfire efforts from Candela and Asun on 55 and 58 minutes which M. Quesada managed to keep out. Yet again, the home side’s goalkeeper managed to keep out a further Candela attempt on goal as José Bargues’ side piling more pressure on the opposition who responded at the other end through a Brenda effort which went off target on 64 minutes.
However, Candela broke the deadlock on 73 minutes after pouncing on an Ana Torroda free-kick effort which bounced off the crossbar into her path and into the back of the net.
Anita Marcos came close to doubling Valencia CF Femenino’s lead but she was denied by and in-form M. Quesada between the posts for the home side.
Alas, Soldevilla denied Valencia CF Femenino the win in cruel fashion with a 90th-minute strike. The match ended one apiece as the first half of the season draws to a close with 21 points from 16 matchdays(5 wins, 6 draws, 5 losses and game in hand against Atletico Madrid Feminas which was postponed due to the rough weather conditions at the time.
